Description:

Collecting feedback from users who printed and used my comb templates, I decided to start designing a new type of comb that can hold hair up on its own, without the need for additional tools, rather than being used merely as an extra decoration.

After creating several prototypes with mixed or incomplete success, I arrived at V1: a double-sided hair comb with a simple hinge that allows you to hold your desired hairstyle on its own, without the need for auxiliary tools, and is highly resistant to wear and tear (hopefully; for now, it holds up well for daily use, even in extreme conditions like strong winds, rain, intense exercise, etc.).

These are some of the first prototypes created, which I gradually adapted until arriving at V1.

V1 requires only the template and a small elastic band to keep it closed; My future plans include trying to remove the need for the elastic band, implementing a snap-on attachment system, and adding decorations to the comb, as with the other models.

I'm open to any suggestions and criticisms to improve the quality of the model (including the name to use for the model; for now, I've limited myself to a very verbose name).

Printing Instructions:

No support, brim, or other attachment is needed. Make sure the print bed is very clean, or the comb teeth may not grip properly, as they are very thin.

Assembly Instructions:

Holding the "Base" part flat with the pin facing up, place the hole in the "Top" part over the pin, making sure the teeth of both pins are pointing toward each other, and press until the head of the pin fully enters the hole and pops out.

To use the comb, use a small elastic band. Once you've created your desired hairstyle, pin it together with the two parts of the comb and hook the elastic band into the two hooks on the sides opposite the zipper to secure the model. If the elastic band is too large, you can wrap it around the hooks several times to tighten the hold.

Post-processing:

No need to remove supports or brims, nor does it require sanding any part of the model.
