Fruit Fly Trap (the Kitchen Pest Buster)

Fruit flies are particularly attracted to fermented sweetness + acidity; you can easily make a homemade trap using common household ingredients that is both safe and effective.

I. The Simplest Trap Recipe (Choose One of Three)

1. Fruit Juice + Dish Soap

   • About half a cup of fruit juice, cola, or beer

   • Add 1–2 drops of dish soap (to break the surface tension, causing fruit flies to drown once they land)

   • Place the mixture in areas where fruit flies are abundant
