Dule Temple is located within the urban area of Jixian County. Legend has it that the temple was first established during the Tang Dynasty, though it was later rebuilt in 984 AD, during the second year of the Tonghe era under the Liao Dynasty. Of the extant Liao‑era structures, only the Mountain Gate and the Guanyin Pavilion remain. The wooden components of today’s surviving buildings are original constructions from that time.

The Guanyin Pavilion stands north of the Mountain Gate, having been rebuilt in 984 AD during the second year of the Tonghe era under the Liao Dynasty. It spans five bays across its front (20.23 m) and four bays deep with eight rafters (14.26 m). The exterior features two stories, adorned with waist eaves and a flat parapet; the interior is divided into three levels—complete with an intermediate mezzanine—and the roof follows a nine‑ridged hall design (commonly referred to as “Qing-style”, also known as hipped gable roof) [2]. What sets this structure apart is its hollow core, surrounded by double‑story colonnades, offering a uniquely conceived spatial layout. The foundation platform is constructed of stone, low‑lying with a modest forecourt terrace. In terms of plan, it conforms to the “hall” category outlined in the Song Dynasty’s Yingzao Fashi, adopting the “golden‑boxed, bottom‑trough” structural style—and on the second floor, a hexagonal hexagonal wellhead is formed to accommodate the 16‑meter‑tall Liao‑era sculpture of the Eleven‑Faced Guanyin statue.

Single‑color printing and assembly make for an overall easy build process, quick and convenient.
The interior is fitted with TopTec’s remote‑controlled lighting, which can be used as a night light at night. No adhesive is required—simply place the lights inside the structure.

Assembly is the primary focus, with gluing serving as a supplementary step.

The four outer columns must be inserted into the eave openings on the first floor; if they don’t fit, lightly sand down the edges of the openings to ensure a snug fit.

Since assembly is fairly straightforward, we’ve included a few images—just refer to the diagrams on the homepage for guidance.

We hope you enjoy it—please give us a thumbs up!
