📖 Description

Bring the soul of the "Motown Sound" to your gear! This is a meticulous 3D replica of the iconic control knobs found on the legendary Ampeg B-15 Portaflex, the most recorded bass amplifier in history. These knobs, with their distinctive fluted design and elegant top-hat profile, are the gold standard for vintage tone and studio-grade aesthetics.

Why this design stands out:

  • Heritage Design: Every flute and taper has been modeled to match the classic B-15 look, giving your equipment that "blue check" vintage authority.
  • Versatile Sizing: While staying true to the original proportions, this design is optimized for both original amp restorations and custom pedal builds.
  • High-Contrast Indicator: The top pointer is recessed, allowing for easy paint-filling to ensure you never lose your settings in dim studio light.
  • Tactile Grip: The deep vertical fluting provides a superior grip, perfect for those fine-tuned "tone-stack" adjustments.

🛠 Technical Specifications

  • Diameter: 32mm original size.
  • Shaft Compatibility: Designed for standard 6.35mm (1/4") potentiometer shafts.
  • Mounting System: Integrated Set-Screw design for a secure, professional fit.
  • Hardware Needed: 1x M3 Nut + 1x M3 Set Screw (4mm or 5mm).

🔧 Assembly Instructions

  1. Insert the Nut: Slide the M3 Nut into the internal hexagonal slot.
  2. Prepare the Screw: Thread the M3 Set Screw into the hole until it meets the nut.
  3. Mounting: Place the knob on your 6.35mm shaft and tighten the screw until it locks firmly.

🎨 Printing & Finishing Tips

  • Resin (Best Result): Highly recommended for that smooth, injection-molded look.
  • Material Choice: For the most authentic look, use Black PETG or ASA for a slightly glossy, durable finish.
  • FDM Settings: Use 0.1mm layer height to capture the subtle taper of the top hat without visible "stepping."
  • The "Studio" Finish: After printing, fill the recessed top indicator line with white or silver enamel paint. Wipe away the excess for a sharp, factory-perfect line.
  • Ironing: Enable "Ironing" on the top-most surface in your slicer (Bambu Studio) to get that smooth, injection-molded look on the top face
