The Ruger M77 is a bolt-action rifle developed by Sturm, Ruger & Co. and first released in 1968, designed to rival classic models like the Remington 700. It adopts a Mauser-style controlled-round feed mechanism with a two-lug bolt and claw extractor for reliable cartridge feeding, features a tang safety and adjustable trigger (in some versions), and offers a range of calibers from .223 Remington to .375 H&H Magnum, with barrel lengths 22-24 inches and weight 6.75-8.25 pounds. Over time, it has spawned variants like the M77 Mark II (1991 redesign) and M77 Hawkeye (2006), widely used by hunters, sport shooters for its durability and accuracy.
