The Prototype Unit Astrid was developed as the counterpart to Aegir 01, embodying the same cutting edge of cybernetic warfare but directed toward a very different battlefield. Where Aegir is the ghost that stalks ship corridors, Astrid is the shadow that seeps into circuits and data streams. Designed in a female form, she represents precision, subtlety, and infiltration through intelligence rather than brute force.

Astrid is equipped with an advanced AI core optimized for intrusion, counterintelligence, and rapid decryption. Her neural lattice is capable of directly interfacing with foreign networks, allowing her to bypass security systems, reconfigure defenses, and seize control of shipboard infrastructure. With her presence, doors unlock, automated turrets stand down, and communications bend to her will. In many operations, the battle is already won before enemy forces realize she is inside their system.

Her cybernetic body carries self regeneration systems similar to Aegir, though optimized for resilience against electromagnetic attacks and data corruption rather than purely physical damage. Support from Aegir is wise, because Astrids performance drops significantly when forced to do CQB combat, preventing her from engaging in cyber warfare.

Astrid’s appearance reflects deliberate design, built to move with grace in confined environments while concealing an arsenal of concealed tools for intrusion and sabotage. She can deploy fiber line jacks, signal dampeners, and injection rigs, giving her multiple avenues to break through even layered defenses. To hostile crews she is known not as a fighter in the flesh, but as the unseen intruder that makes weapons lock, doors seal, and systems betray their own masters. Astrid represents the future of warfare where control of the machine is as decisive as control of the battlefield.
