a lamp that uses the principle of the magnifying glass and mirrors to concentrate the light in a single spot on your desk...or burn something if you have a powerful enough LED

To assemble it, in addition to the file, all you need is a lamp holder with an E14 threaded body, a 65 mm diameter magnifying glass and a 175 mm diameter mirror.

Assembly guide

first assembly the gear and the pins like this (PAY ATTENTION TO THE PINS. THE LARGER GEARS GO INTO THE LARGER GEAR, THE SMALLER FIT INDIFFERENTLY TO THE OTHER TWO GEARS)

Now you vcan assemble the base and the lamp holder( all the pieces are snap fit). the support for the lamp holder is designed for E14 lamp holders with threaded body. sometimes they are sold with just one fixing ring. you will need a second ring which you can find here

put the magnifying glass between these two pieces. the pieces are interlocking, but for safety you can fix them with a little glue

now you can connect them to gear n°1 in the following way. here too the pieces are interlocking, but for further rigidity of the joint I inserted a hollow cylinder to be used as reinforcement of the joint and positioned before connecting the lens to the gear

now you can connect the gear axis as you see in the next figure. on these axes tolerances and printing precision are important. If the axis in the gear does not fit perfectly, use a flat-head screwdriver and slightly deform the joint on the gear until it fits perfectly.

put the mirror between these two pieces

connect the axis and gear 2 to the mirror holder. Always use a screwdriver to help you

now the last gear, you just need to screw the axle to the gear body (ATTENTION, THE LONG PART OF THE AXLE MUST BE SCREWED TO THE GEAR, IF YOU MAKE THE STEP WRONG THE GEARS WILL NOT BE CONNECTED)

now you can connect the first two gears to the lamp structure in the following way

now connect the third gear and the mirror to the two side supports of the lamp and connect everything to the base checking that the gears fit together.

once everything is well connected, attach the bulb, place the shade and enjoy the lamp!
