This curved tactical dagger was engineered by the "Hive Core" biotech corporation 🧬, which specialized in weaponizing insect biology for urban combat. Its blade is forged from the exoskeleton of a genetically modified Giant Asian Hornet 🐝, reinforced with carbon nanotubes to retain its natural serrations and venom-secreting ducts. The hollow groove in the blade channels the hornet’s neurotoxin, which causes paralysis within 10 seconds of contact. The honeycomb-patterned handle houses a micro-pump that replenishes the venom supply from a replaceable cartridge.

However, the weapon carries a fatal flaw. The hornet’s DNA, embedded in the exoskeleton, occasionally reactivates, causing the dagger to sprout tiny, stinging hairs that irritate the user’s palm. Those who wield it for more than two weeks begin to experience vivid hallucinations of swarming hornets, and their skin develops an allergic rash that spreads to the entire body. Worse, the venom pump can malfunction, flooding the handle with toxin and poisoning the user. During a 2305 test, a corporate security guard died after the pump leaked into his bloodstream.

The dagger was recalled by Hive Core, but most were sold on the black market to street gangs and mercenaries. Today, it is known as the "Wasp Sting," a weapon that poisons both its victims and its wielder.
