The Elegoo Centauri Carbon PTFE Guide is designed to hold the PTFE tube at the correct angle for feeding filament through the filament sensor from under the spool, exactly as the factory intended, instead of routing it over the top.

I designed this part because I use a ball-bearing spool holder, and feeding filament from over the top caused the spool to unwind too quickly. This led to tangles, inconsistent feeding, and occasional print failures. Switching to an under-spool feed completely solved those issues.

To install, you’ll need to replace the factory PTFE tube with a slightly longer one (a few extra inches) to accommodate the new routing.

The guide installs using the original factory side cover screw, making installation quick and straightforward. The fit is intentionally snug so the PTFE tube stays firmly in place, and the screw hole is sized to lightly self-tap for a secure hold.

Printed in PLA and tested extensively, this design has logged hundreds of hours of print time with zero issues. I strongly prefer the under-spool feed—it’s been far more reliable in my setup.
