Inspired by the classic form of traditional Japanese stone lanterns (Toro), this design recreates the symmetrical three-part structure of the pavilion roof, lantern chamber, and base, along with the Eastern aesthetic of upturned eaves. The white unpolished finish echoes the understated texture of stone lanterns, while the hollowed lantern chamber can house a light source. When lit, it casts soft light through the window panes, combining the roles of a Zen ornament and an atmosphere lamp, infusing the space with tranquil Eastern Zen charm.
