Keep your cat entertained for hours with the Print-in-Place Spiral Cat Teaser! Designed to take full advantage of the natural flexibility of 3D-printed filament, this model features a built-in spring mechanism that bounces back automatically when your cat swats or pulls at it.

It's a quick, easy, and support-free print that makes the perfect interactive toy to spoil your favorite feline.

 

🛠️ How it Works & Installation

  1. Print: Print the model completely flat on your build plate—no supports required!
  2. Tie: Tie a piece of yarn, string, or your cat's favorite ribbon to the small loop at the very tip of the spiral arm.
  3. Mount: I used zip ties to connect this to a chair, but you can also connect it to a scratching post!
  4. Play: Let your cat pounce! The spiral arm will flex and snap right back into place for endless fun.

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings

  • Material: PLA works perfectly for a crisp, snappy spring effect. (PETG can also be used for a slightly softer, highly durable flex).
  • Supports: None! This design is 100% print-in-place.
  • Infill: 15% - 20% (Grid or Gyroid).
  • Walls/Perimeters: 2-3 walls are recommended to give the flexible spiral arm maximum long-term strength.
