This piece is a digital reconstruction of the iconic “Create the Sun” sculpture at China University of Petroleum (UPC). Beyond serving as a symbol of the university’s spirit, it embodies the relentless pursuit of discovery by energy science and engineering students. Design Style: Employing a modern faceted (low-poly) design language, the original smooth, rounded lines are reimagined as bold, geometric facets that exude a sense of dynamic strength. The fusion of human form with mechanical elements enhances the sculpture’s three-dimensional depth under light and shadow, making it an ideal fit for contemporary home or office interiors. Printing Instructions:

  • Large Color Version: We recommend printing in multiple parts—use copper‑colored or wood‑grain PLA for the figurative elements, while silver‑tinted silk PLA is highly recommended for the mechanical components.
  • Fine White Version: For this version, we suggest using resin-based 3D printing to preserve intricate facet details; the base can be paired with a round wooden pedestal measuring 40–50 mm in diameter.
