The body color of Cubone is close to blue or navy blue, with a white belly and white feet tipped with three claws. It has two sharp fangs in its mouth, perpetually narrowed eyes—no one has ever seen them fully open—and two upright, pointed ears on its head. Under the influence of Ultra-Gigantification, the seeds of fruits and small pebbles clinging to Cubone’s belly also undergo explosive growth, transforming its massive, lush form into something as imposing as a mountain. Its most distinctive feature is the unique ecosystem that has formed on its belly, complete with pathways, towering trees, fruit-bearing plants, and grassy patches.

Cubone is notoriously lazy, spending most of its time eating and sleeping. It lives in a constant cycle of feeding and napping, devouring food nonstop whenever it’s not asleep—a true glutton. What people often mistake for its signature cry is actually a snore or the rumbling of its hungry stomach. Without consuming at least 400 kilograms of food each day, its belly never feels truly full, and it remains perpetually unsettled. Cubone’s stomach is incredibly resilient; even moldy food poses no problem, and it can digest virtually anything without ever getting an upset stomach. Its gastric juices are powerful enough to neutralize any poison, so eating food dropped on the ground is no issue at all—even the toxic slime of Sludge is merely a seasoning to Cubone’s palate. Once it starts eating, it soon drifts off to sleep, and even while asleep it keeps munching away. After a hearty meal, even moving a finger becomes difficult, and it promptly falls into a deep slumber. Over time, this habit makes Cubone increasingly plump and sluggish. Despite its gentle nature, Cubone remains unfazed even when children jump onto its belly during its nap, happily letting them treat its enormous stomach like a playground. However, when Cubone gets serious about something, it can unleash astonishing power. In the Paldea region, this voracious eater will suddenly appear in villages and, in the blink of an eye, empty the granaries. Such behavior has long been regarded as a kind of natural disaster.

Whether due to the weight of its swollen belly or its inherent traits, Ultra-Gigantified Cubone is almost completely immobile. In battle, it will slightly raise its upper body and flap its arms and legs to attack opponents. Though it may seem lethargic, its destructive power is extraordinary, earning it a reputation as one of the most terrifying Ultra-Gigantified Pokémon.
