Small model that perfectly and quickly cuts filament into 4mm lengths using a drill.

Hardware:

  • 608RS Bearing x2 (ID: 8mm, OD: 22mm W: 7mm)
  • 8mm drill bit (not attached to model)


Print the model with the slot facing upwards. PLA should be fine, but I suggest ABS, ASA or stronger for long term use (e.g shredding >1kg of plastic)
 

I suggest using 4 walls and 20% rectilinear infill!

I have provided a .STEP file, which can be used in the majority of CAD softwares for modification and implementation into a larger system.

I used a reusable ziptie to keep the drill button pressed. double-sided Velcro tape also works.
