Model Overview

This 3D-printed model is a meticulously crafted artistic reproduction of one of the Yunnan Provincial Museum’s most treasured artifacts—the Dali Kingdom Gilded and Beaded Golden Garuda. The Garuda, also known as the Kinnara, is an important protective deity in Buddhist culture, symbolizing strength, speed, and auspiciousness; during the Nanzhao and Dali periods, it was revered as a guardian deity.

The original piece is a masterpiece from the Song Dynasty Dali Kingdom, made of silver and gold and inlaid with pearls, amber, and turquoise. When designing this model, special attention was paid to its printability and ease of assembly, making it ideal for 3D-printing enthusiasts who enjoy hands-on crafting and painting.

Model Features

1. Exquisite Reproduction: The model accurately captures the Garuda’s poised, wing-spread pose as if about to take flight, the intricate flame-like tail feathers, and the precise placement of the circular disc on its head along with the beaded embellishments (pearls).
2. Multi-Color Design: To facilitate multi-material/multi-color 3D printing, I have uploaded separate multi-color .3mf files.
   • Yellow Body: The bird’s body and wings.
   • Orange Flames: The complex flame-shaped tail and feather structures.
   • White Decorations: The circular disc on the head, the pearl-like spheres, and the decorative balls on the base.
