Simple and effective belt tensioner using 2.5mm cable ties

Printing Instructions

• Use 0.2mm layer height for best results.
• Set 5 perimeters (walls) to ensure a solid, durable structure.
• Print the model in the vertical orientation provided in the file — this is essential to maintain the correct grip on the GT2 belt.

Important:
This tensioner was carefully designed to be printed vertically. Although horizontal printing might seem to increase strength, it actually compromises functionality by reducing grip on the belt. When printed as designed, the cable tie will break first in case of a jam, protecting your printer. This configuration was validated through long-term testing and is the most effective balance of strength and safety.
