The Arrma stock body panels on the Fireteam are very thin and very prone to tearing and cracking, so I set out to design the most durable 3D Printed skidplates possible.
Parts included:
Bottom Side Skids x2
Top Side Skids x2
Middle Skid Plate (click here to download it)
Rear Skid x1
Top Front Skid x1
Top Rear Skid x1
With these, your Fireteam will look nicer, longer.
The Top Side Skids use an unused screw hole in the top cage. Just attach these using the normal two screws, and then carefully drill out the center hole through the top body panel. This massively assists with durability in my testing.
Durability
I design all my parts to be as durable as possible for 3D printed plastic. This is no exception. I've made these skidplates very thick, but without making it look ridiculous. For the top side skids, I decided to make it attach via 3 screws, instead of the normal two. I designed these with M3 nuts in mind, to prevent them stripping out and breaking.
