A bookend inspired by the bird skeleton motif on the Đông Sơn drum.
Even though this is a 3D-printed product, I challenged myself to model the file in a way that captures rough, uneven textures similar to ceramic sculpting. This design approach makes the printed piece feel more lively and is sure to become an interesting item to display in your home.
There will be two separate parts, which I call the head bone and the tail bone. You simply place your books in between and position these two pieces on either side as bookends. In addition, there’s a slot in the head bone designed to hold your glasses, making the piece highly functional and practical.
