Elegant Wood & 3D Printed Monitor Stand (Parametric)
📝 Model Description
Upgrade your workspace with a stylish and minimalist monitor stand!
This project combines the warmth of natural wood with the precision of 3D printing, allowing you to create an aesthetic, sturdy, and functional monitor shelf. Thanks to the airy design using four round wooden dowels, the stand keeps your desk looking uncluttered. A convenient niche is formed underneath to store your keyboard, laptop, notebooks, or other office supplies.

🌟 Project Features:
Modular Design: The kit includes two types of parts:
End Caps: Cover the ends of the dowels, creating a neat and finished look.
Pass-through Supports: Allow the dowels to pass right through. Use them as center supports for long stands (for ultrawide monitors or dual screens) or to create multi-tier shelves.
Smart Fixation (Friction Fit): Special flexible ribs (collet mechanism) are designed inside the mounting holes. They compensate for slight variations in the wood's diameter and provide a tight, secure fit without the need for glue!
Parametric Design (Fusion 360): Wooden dowels in stores often vary slightly in thickness. That's why the archive includes the source .f3d (Fusion 360) file. You can easily adjust the mounting hole diameter parameter from 24 mm to 30 mm to perfectly match the dowels you purchased!
🛠 What you need to build it:
3D printed parts (2 End Caps for the basic version, + Pass-through supports if desired).
4 round wooden dowels (recommended diameter 24-30 mm). Choose the length yourself based on the width of your desk and monitor.
🖨 Print Settings & Recommendations:
Material: PLA, PETG, ABS, or ASA. (Matte filaments, like Matte PLA, or Carbon Fiber (CF) filled plastics will look especially premium and stylish).
Layer height: 0.2 mm for an optimal balance of speed and quality.
Infill: 20-30% (Gyroid or Cubic recommended for strength, as the part bears the weight of the monitor).
Supports: Not required! The model is designed to print support-free when laid flat on the build plate.
Perimeters (Walls): At least 3-4 walls to ensure the rigidity of the load-bearing structure.
