PolyDryer Desiccant Tray

Optimized desiccant tray designed specifically for your Polymaker PolyDryer dryer. The tray is engineered for a close fit that maintains both functionality and ease of use — it's close fit without being so tight that it makes removing the tray or closing the lid difficult. And it allows on maximum air flow.

I tested 4 stand variations with different leg heights, and this configuration provided the best performance for drying 100g of desiccant.

Placing the tray higher significantly slows down drying due to poor air circulation. This setup strikes the optimal balance.

The tray can also be used in an oven. I printed mine in ABS-GF and safely used it at 180°F. I believe 185°F would also be fine, but I chose not to push it to 190°F. Using the tray with a stand in the oven significantly reduces drying time compared to laying it flat.

One corner of the tray features a small removable sliding mechanism that makes it easy to pour desiccant into any container. By adjusting it up or down, you can control the desiccant flow more precisely.

To minimize drying time, avoid overloading the tray with desiccant. A single layer dries very quickly, and two layers are still efficient. However, filling the tray completely will significantly increase drying time, as the moist air from the bottom will saturate the upper layers.
