This throttle cable bushing helps retain the throttle cable in the top of the throttle assembly. Not all aftermarket throttle cable ends fit the factory mounting hole nicely and this adds that extra retention.
Will fit other years and models as well (original was actually based of 1993 Ford Thunderbird throttle cable assembly).
