Summary

Knurled on the outside, twist container on the inside.

The top will spin in to place from gravity alone, but the twist threads tighten up at the very end, so you lock it in place to close the last couple millimeters.

I think the twist containers printed in vase mode are neat, and combined that with knurling for something not really useful but pretty neat.

Several people said this didn't slide nicely, so I printed a 2nd one in green. It didn't fit at first, I screwed it on and off several times and it still didn't fit. The next day it fit fine. I am not sure why this is, but I would give it some time and then open and close it multiple times to try to make it fit well.

  Took about 18 hours to print. Came of pretty much working fine. I had to twist it on and off a few times before it started spinning smoothly enough to screw on via gravity.

  The tolerances seem pretty important here so your results may very.

How I Designed This

My first attempts were not useful because the container would not stay closed. I solved this by breaking the solid body of the internal threads and shrinking the last section a few percentage points, this makes the threads not mesh perfectly and it binds up enough right before closing all the way to make a tight fit. On my print it will not open unintentionally.

It spins freely most of the way, then turn it harder and the tight fit will hold it closed.
