  • Water bottle

Hey everyone! I’m the creator of this low-poly polar bear water bottle~

  • Design Inspiration: Polar bears naturally exude a charming yet wild aura—but rather than aiming for hyperrealistic representation, I chose to deconstruct their form using low-poly modeling. By breaking down smooth, rounded contours into sharp triangular faces and trapezoidal blocks, I infused even cold plastic with the warmth of hand‑crafted design. The crisp, angular lines of the ears, snout, and mouth—and the chunky, blocky structure of the limbs—were meticulously refined through countless iterations of proportional adjustments, ensuring the polar bear’s iconic silhouette remained instantly recognizable while adding a modern, streamlined aesthetic.
  • Functional Design: As a water bottle, the “bear body” actually serves as the main container! The hollowed-out back creates a convenient storage space—perfect for small snacks, stationery, or even as a mini planter for succulents. The four sturdy legs at the base are strategically designed to provide stability, so the bottle stays steady no matter what you fill it with, blending practicality with playful charm.
  • Printing Details: I used FDM 3D printing, opting for off‑white and light khaki filaments to evoke the soft, fur‑like texture of a polar bear’s coat. To accentuate the sharp edges and clean lines, I adjusted both layer height and infill density during slicing. After printing, I lightly sanded the edges to soften the transitions between angled surfaces, ensuring a smooth finish that feels comfortable to the touch without any sharp protrusions.
