Design Concept
This eye trainer simulates varying focal distances to help improve vision, with a particular focus on myopia prevention and management. Its design encourages users to move their eyeballs, thereby strengthening the ocular muscles.
Applications
Primarily used for dynamic focusing exercises, this device can be conveniently utilized anywhere, helping to enhance eye flexibility and supporting myopia prevention and control.
Printing Recommendations
We recommend using PLA or PETG filaments to ensure the structural stability and strength of the final print. The color can be customized according to personal preference.
Assembly Instructions
After printing, you’ll need to prepare two nylon cords, each 5–8 meters long—any smooth, non‑abrasive cord will do. Thread one cord through the left-hand hole and the other through the right-hand hole, then tie handles onto all four cord ends. When in use, two people should simultaneously pull on the handles, tightening the cords. One person performs chest‑expansion‑like movements, pulling the cords apart and causing the target to shift toward the opposite side. As the target moves back and forth, the user keeps their eyes firmly focused on the moving target. By alternating between these motions, users can effectively train their eye focusing ability, which may contribute to myopia prevention and management. This device can also serve as an engaging piece of equipment for children’s physical activities.
If available, you can insert Teflon tubing (the same type used as filament feed tubes in 3D printers, 4 mm in diameter) into the threading holes—these holes are perfectly sized to accommodate tubing of this specification. Doing so not only makes the base smoother and more durable but also enhances the overall performance and longevity of the device.
