When playing UNO, what most disrupts the game’s rhythm is often not drawing a bad hand, but rather having to search for paper and pen, pull out your phone, or argue about how many points you actually scored in the previous round.

So I designed this two-player mechanical rotating scoreboard.

Each side features a set of three-digit dials that can independently track the scores of two players or two teams, with a scoring range of 000–999. At the end of each round, simply turning the dials updates the score—no batteries, no paper and pen, and no need to exit the game to check your phone.

What makes it especially addictive is the crisp, mechanical “click-clack” sound produced as you turn the dials. Each time a digit advances, there’s a distinct tactile feedback, making it easy to locate the correct number while delivering the satisfying feel of a mechanical combination lock or an old-fashioned counter.

Sometimes, even when you only need to add a few points, you can’t help but spin the dials a couple extra times.

The red-and-yellow color scheme quickly distinguishes between the two sides, while the black body and stand give it the polished look of a proper tabletop gaming accessory. Beyond UNO, it’s also suitable for other card games, family board games, head-to-head competitions, and any party game that requires cumulative scoring.
