Through a “Scottish yoke” mechanism combined with 13 linked crankshafts, this device converts circular motion into vertical oscillations that follow a sinusoidal waveform.

It demonstrates the mathematical relationship between trigonometric functions and simple harmonic motion, transforming mechanical logic into visible, rhythmic waves.

Fully 3D-printed—no additional hardware required

Printed entirely in PLA

After assembly, the overall dimensions are approximately 270 × 60 × 138 mm

The crankshaft assembly module features limiting grooves, so there’s no need to distinguish between parts; simply install them sequentially, and each section will naturally align at 30-degree intervals.
