Inspired by the KFC gumball machines below, I decided to create a 3D-printed version because paper gumball machines are too fragile and can’t withstand the rough handling of energetic children. So I modeled the design and printed it using a 3D printer.

The paper gumball machine that has already been damaged in action…

This gumball machine design has the following features:

• It uses a snap-fit assembly, so no glue is needed.
• The main body dimensions are 60 × 160 × 200 mm.
• The maximum size of the gumballs that can be dispensed is 35 × 35 mm.

Here are some important notes:

• Use PLA filament to join the lid to the main body.
• For the openings in the baffle, cut a rectangular piece from a clear packaging bag and attach it to the back of the baffle using double-sided tape.
