The model’s core design seamlessly blends octopus tentacles, a withered humanoid torso, and shattered dragon wings, giving rise to a surreal, distorted biological logic that challenges the viewer’s spatial perception.

The base is meticulously crafted as a sloping ruin of the ancient city of R’lyeh, its bizarre geometric angles hinting at interdimensional incursions while simultaneously providing ample hiding spots for substrate and small benthic fish within the aquarium.

Embedded within the intricate details are simulated deep-sea skeletal remains and deformed coral formations, adding layers of textural complexity. Once submerged, these elements facilitate the attachment of biofilms, lending the model an aged, weathered aesthetic that evokes the passage of countless millennia.

Rendered in pristine white, the model’s complex folds and crevices are accentuated by the deep shadows cast by overhead aquarium lighting.

Aging Finish: For coloring, we recommend using acrylic paints applied in a drybrush technique, focusing on highlighting dark recesses and subtle verdigris tones to capture the timeless, centuries‑old patina of a long‑lost world.

Hollowed Abdomen: This design allows water to flow freely through the model’s interior, minimizing stagnant zones and preventing excessive algae growth. A concealed mounting point for air stones has been strategically integrated into the model’s core—when bubbles emerge from Cthulhu’s mouth or between the tentacle fronds, they create a dynamic “ancient deity breathing” effect, imbuing the piece with a sense of living, otherworldly energy.
