This pair of earrings is inspired by the ancient ferocious beast Taowu, whose image first appears in the “Zuo Zhuan.” Alongside Hun Dun, Qiong Qi, and Taotie, Taowu is known as one of the “Four Fearsome Creatures” and symbolizes a fierce, untamed nature in mythology.

The design features a striking animal head with glaring eyes and bared fangs, capturing Taowu’s menacing aura. Inside the mouth, iridescent sequins are embedded, shimmering like the sharp, piercing gaze of a wild beast as light dances across them. The inner layer incorporates traditional spiral patterns reminiscent of Shang–Zhou bronze decorations, while the outer layer is cut into jagged, openwork shapes that evoke the forceful breakthrough of an attacking formation, emphasizing a primal, rugged power. The overall finish is matte deep gray, encapsulating the untamed energy of this ancient creature within a compact form and creating an accessory style that blends historical gravitas with a dark, distinctly Chinese aesthetic.

② You can customize the piece by adding gemstones of your choice; just purchase an additional earring post separately. I printed it at a layer height of 0.08 mm using PETG filament, with colors of your own choosing.
③ If you want to print smaller earrings, we recommend switching to a 0.02 mm nozzle and setting the lowest possible layer height for maximum detail. Alternatively, if you create larger models, they can be used for pendants, luggage tags, and other versatile applications.
④ Leave space in the model for adhesive curing—apply UV glue mixed with gold powder and let it harden. You can also customize the piece with your favorite gemstone, making it a one-of-a-kind creation tailored just for you.
⑤ Since I dislike removing supports, I simply print flat surfaces. If you need a three-dimensional effect, just print two pieces and glue them together.
