The Weixing odor‑proof floor drain filter mesh—no idea what happened to the original one, but it’s impossible to buy a replacement filter separately; you have to purchase the entire set if you want to replace it.

Plus, cleaning out the hair buildup on top of the filter is such a hassle every time—so I decided to create a custom 3D model. I print just one filter at a time, and each one only uses about 5 grams of filament.

Out of sheer laziness, I only designed two simple retaining rings—after all, as long as they can securely snap into place, that’s good enough.

This design is compatible with floor drains like the one shown in Figure 3, which features two small protruding tabs for secure locking. In theory, any floor drain with a tab spacing between 35 and 40 millimeters should be a suitable match.
