✨ Key Features of the Piece
Centered around the theme “Integrity is Golden,” this desktop ornament combines traditional calligraphy with seal-carving elements, creating a design that seamlessly blends Chinese aesthetic sensibilities with meaningful value expression.
Origin: Its core concept draws from Sima Qian’s Records of the Grand Historian, specifically the biography of Ji Bu and Luan Bu, which recounts Ji Bu’s promise: “A single word from Ji Bu is worth more than a hundred pieces of gold.” This phrase later evolved into the idiom “a promise worth a thousand pieces of gold.”
Due to similar character structures, it is often mistakenly interpreted as “all about trust”: in calligraphic works, the radical for “speech” in the character “cheng” closely resembles the human radical in “quan,” while certain strokes in “xin” and “shi” can easily be confused. Additionally, the characters “jin” and “qiu,” especially when written in cursive or connected styles, exhibit highly similar outlines, leading to visual misinterpretations.
- Layered Design: A stone‑like textured base paired with black calligraphy and a red seal, all printed in one go without any post‑processing coloring.
- Integrated Stand: The base and main body are designed separately, ensuring stable placement and allowing the piece to function independently as a standing display.
- Exceptional Detail: Calligraphic brushstrokes and seal‑carving textures are rendered with crisp clarity, enhanced by striking light‑and‑shadow effects, resulting in a high level of print fidelity.
Printing is quick—approximately 1.5 hours—and consumes around 25 grams of filament.
