I recently purchased the Xiaomi Fingerprint Lock 2 Pro. Since my original door uses a “Bawang” lock body, installing the fingerprint lock required modifying the door. However, such modifications inevitably lead to some degree of misalignment. After installation, I encountered the following issues: 1. The door often fails to lock automatically when closed; 2. There is noticeable frame clearance after locking.

My initial assessment was that the automatic unlocking failure stemmed from an excessive gap between the latch and the guide plate, resulting in intermittent non-contact and preventing the lock from detecting the closing signal. Additionally, the guide plate I had purchased had oversized mounting holes, contributing to the frame clearance issue.

Consequently, I measured the dimensions and created a custom adapter plate tailored to fit the Bawang lock body. By mounting this new plate over the existing one, I successfully resolved both problems.
