  • Crooked Box

This “tilted” tiered storage box is my little experiment in combining “desktop playfulness” with “layered organization.”

It’s 3D-printed in one piece, featuring four “twisted” trapezoidal compartments stacked in a staggered arrangement (blue, yellow, black, and red, with a uniform red border around each). The semicircular openings at the front of each tier serve as convenient grips for retrieving items while also infusing the whole design with a lively geometric flair—though it appears tilted, its center of gravity is perfectly balanced, much like a whimsical stack of rainbow-colored blocks casually assembled from fragments of a sliced rainbow.

I chose this “tilted” structure to disrupt the rigid order of the desktop: each tier can neatly organize small odds and ends such as paper clips, stickers, and tiny tools, keeping everything in its place while maintaining a playful visual tension. The printed surface texture is simple and natural, and the bold color contrasts (blue/yellow/black/red) stand out vividly against the green cutting mat, making it not only a functional storage solution but also an “emotional seasoning” for the desk—every time you glance at it, it pulls a touch of mischievous delight right out of the otherwise orderly monotony.
