The peony (scientific name: Paeonia × suffruticosa Andr.) is also known as the Luoyang flower [72], the “flower of wealth and honor,” the tree peony, shu gu, lu jiu, bai rong, bai yu jin, and the Guyu flower [58–60] [72]. It is a plant belonging to the family Paeoniaceae and the genus Paeonia. Its blossoms boast vibrant colors, a delicate fragrance like jade and pearls, an elegant and graceful demeanor, and a regal splendor, earning it the reputation as the “King of Flowers.” The Tang Dynasty poets Bai Juyi’s line, “Flowers bloom and fall over twenty days, and the entire city goes mad,” and Liu Yuxi’s verse, “Only the peony truly embodies the nation’s beauty; when it blooms, the capital stirs,” vividly capture the Tang-era custom of appreciating peonies.
This model takes the fully bloomed peony as its theme, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. It features a set of three pen holders with square cross-sections in different sizes: the large size measures 79 × 79 × 120 mm, the medium size 66 × 66 × 100 mm, and the small size 53 × 53 × 80 mm. Please note that manual measurements may have slight deviations; actual dimensions shall prevail.
The small and medium-sized holders can be used as standard pen holders, while the large one can serve not only as a pen holder but also as a chopstick holder or a utensil storage container, combining aesthetic appeal with practical functionality.
