Holographic Glasses Shell – ESP8266

1. Inspiration
Drawing on the portability and Wi-Fi connectivity of the ESP8266 microcontroller, combined with the lightweight requirements of holographic displays, we designed a compact holographic device that can be mounted on ordinary eyeglasses. This solution addresses the bulky size and poor portability of traditional holographic systems, enabling users to easily enjoy enhanced visual experiences.

2. Functionality
The device uses an OLED screen as the light source and employs a front-mounted acrylic lens to reflect and project images. The ESP8266 handles data processing and information delivery, allowing it to display lightweight content such as time and messages directly on the lens—without obstructing the user’s line of sight—thus providing a convenient heads-up display for eyeglass wearers.

3. Expandable Features
The ESP8266 enables network connectivity, turning the device into a smart notification tool that can deliver real-time updates on weather, alerts, and other information. It can also be integrated with sensors to visualize health data, or its optical design can be modified to improve image clarity and better meet the AR interaction needs of various use cases.
