Pharaoh Statue Pen Holder in Pyramid Style
This design is the Pharaoh Statue version in pyramid style. Its form is an inverted triangular pyramid, with a relief portrait of a pharaoh on the front—wearing a double feathered crown, adorned with a sacred serpent on the forehead, and sporting a false beard beneath the chin, exuding a serene yet majestic aura.
In creating the model, I drew inspiration from the proportions of Tutankhamun’s mask, but simplified and geometrized the design to better align with contemporary aesthetics. The pyramid’s surface is engraved with horizontal striations, mimicking the texture of stacked stone blocks; along the bottom edge, there is also a row of miniature hieroglyphic reliefs (though the specific inscriptions are difficult to discern, they serve as symbolic representations of concepts such as “life” and “eternity”).
The pen holder’s opening is positioned on the “front-right side” of the pyramid, forming a slanted slot that naturally spreads out when three pens are inserted, creating a display with a distinct sense of ritual. I particularly love this angle: viewed from the side, the pharaoh’s silhouette contrasts intriguingly with the lines of the pen barrels, as if an ancient civilization is engaging in a dialogue with modern tools.
