This design leverages 3D‑printed material trays as versatile storage stands, offering flexible functionality through rotation or disassembly—perfect for organizing and showcasing your items at home.

 

Applications

This accessory can serve as a component for storage boxes, ideal for holding 3D‑printed tools, accessories, or other small objects. It currently supports over 90% of commercially available material trays on the market.

Printing Recommendations

The design is compatible with roughly 90% of mainstream material trays. Before printing, measure the internal spacing of your tray and adjust the Z‑axis height of the first layer by about 1 mm to ensure smoother, more flexible movement. Using ABS or PETG filaments can significantly enhance strength and durability; we recommend setting a shell thickness of at least 2 mm and employing a 20% infill density to minimize material usage and shorten print time. Be sure to incorporate support structures during printing, especially for intricate geometries, to facilitate the formation of complex features.

Assembly Instructions

Once printing is complete, simply assemble the upper and lower components to securely fasten all parts in place. The design allows for easy disassembly and reassembly, enabling each component to operate independently while maintaining overall flexibility.

If you only need a single-material-tray storage solution, just print the first layer of the model.

For a dual‑tray stack, you’ll need to print the second-layer connecting pieces. If you plan to stack multiple trays indefinitely, add hollow connecting posts to the second layer.

The third layer includes storage dividers and connecting rivets—both of which can be printed as needed. Alternatively, you can skip printing the rivets altogether and instead secure the components directly to the tray’s pre‑drilled holes using M4 self‑tapping screws.

The sides of the material tray feature pre‑drilled magnetic mounting holes; these can be left unused if desired. For magnetic attachments, we recommend using cylindrical magnets measuring 5 x 3 mm.
