The cc2 rotary axis boasts perfect reusability, smooth material feed, and ample desiccant capacity. It employs silicone sealing strips to ensure airtight performance—testing has shown that, when paired with molecular sieves, the unit can maintain humidity levels in the single digits for extended periods. The consumable cartridge features a simple, lift‑up design for convenient replacement.

Constructed with an acrylic fish tank as the main body, the enclosure is both transparent and aesthetically pleasing, significantly reducing print workload. Total consumable usage remains under 1 kg, with a total print time of just 1 day and 2 hours.

We recommend using ABS for printing; an optional active drying module will soon be available to enable simultaneous printing and drying. However, before printing with ABS, make sure the chamber temperature is sufficiently high to prevent warping—especially when working on large prints—and verify that your filament’s shrinkage rate is properly calibrated.

Not keen on printing with ABS? No problem—this unit is designed as a fully functional drying chamber, and it performs just as well with PLA.

1. Consumable Bracket (Key Component)

Press the two rotary axis mounting blocks (included with the cc2) into the stepped recesses on either side of the bracket, ensuring they fit snugly within the grooves. Secure the mounting blocks with opposing screws, making sure each screw is fully countersunk into the block.

Insert the rotary axes into the mounting blocks in alternating pairs—odd-numbered axes first, then even-numbered axes (we recommend labeling the feed direction: Axes 1 and 2 rotate counterclockwise to dispense material, while Axes 3 and 4 feed material clockwise).

2. Chamber Assembly

Assemble the chamber frame according to the diagram below, securing the pieces with adhesive (PLA and ABS can be bonded using acrylic glue).

You can attach magnets in the designated areas shown in the diagram.

Attach the frame to the acrylic fish tank using sealant silicone, AB glue, or other suitable adhesives. Secure the frame to the top of the tank, ensuring the tank fits snugly into the frame’s recesses. Invert the tank, place heavy weights on the bottom, and set it on a level surface to allow the adhesive to cure—ensuring the top surface remains perfectly flat.

3. Lid Assembly

Attach the two positioning blocks into the pre‑drilled square holes on the base plate, then insert and secure silicone sealing strips (large rings) into the corresponding grooves.

Secure the two latches onto the top groove using 140 mm aluminum rods, then embed M6 hot‑melt nuts into the pre‑drilled holes at the top and thread on pneumatic connectors.

Insert a precisely cut 30 mm Teflon tube into the pre‑drilled round hole at the bottom to serve as a material outlet guide.

4. Full Assembly

Embed the digital temperature and humidity meter into the pre‑drilled slot on the desiccant box, then slide the desiccant box beneath the crossbeam.

Slide the short silicone ring over the lid of the desiccant box.

Assemble according to the diagram below to complete the final product—note that the material feed end should align with the outlet hole on the lid, while the orientation of the desiccant box’s temperature and humidity meter is entirely flexible.
