The thumb brushes against the blade’s edge, still warm from the recent nano-printing process 🌡️; neon acid rain from the wasteland of New Chicago seeps through the guard’s ventilation holes and into the grip cavity ⚡; this short blade, freshly printed at an abandoned military factory, is still coated in the raw, milky-white haze of PLA 🧼. In 2149, a massive corporate war reduced North America to a disconnected, echoing wasteland 🏙️💥—and it took our rebel squad’s aging FDM 3D printer three straight nights of relentless printing to produce this complete blade blank ⚙️. The diamond-patterned textured grip cavity is embedded with activated carbon fibers that can adsorb nerve agents 🔋; the cross-shaped guard’s pre-drilled openings are perfectly sized to hold the two remaining miniature fusion-energy storage modules our team has left 💎; and the blade’s angled, ribbed grooves are specifically engineered to slice through the reactive armor of corporate mechs 🧢.

Corporate aerial patrol hoverbikes are already circling above the abandoned oil refinery 🚁🔍—and the squad leader hands me this uncolored, plain white blade, saying that a neutral, unadorned finish is the best camouflage 🤫: the diffuse reflection of neon lights won’t give away our position, and corporate infrared thermal imaging can’t detect an uncoated blank 📡🌫️. I run my thumb along the blade’s fine layer-by-layer texture left by the printer, and hear the roar of the hoverbike rotors growing ever closer 🌪️—my thumb locks into the diamond pattern of the grip, and my knuckles tighten involuntarily. Around the next corner of a rusted oil-storage tank, it’s time for a life-or-death duel ⚔️🔪.
