I had a few empty beverage cans at home, and when I happened to notice this bottle—its walls were exceptionally thick—and realized I also needed extra storage space, I decided to repurpose it.
The accessory consists of three main components: the threaded connector, the inner liner, and the bottle cap.
The upper portion of the beverage bottle features a U‑shaped groove. Simply remove the bottle cap, leaving about 5–10 mm between the top edge of the groove and the cap’s rim. Slide the bottle over the threaded connector—after gently flattening it slightly before insertion—and then let it spring back into shape. Even if some minor deformation occurs during assembly, the bottle will generally return to its original form once the inner liner is installed. Alternatively, you can choose not to use an inner liner; however, this approach does require a bit more precision during installation. When installing the liner, it’s best to apply moderate pressure: starting from one side and carefully pushing the liner along the edges works well. If the liner still feels too tight to slide in, simply reduce its diameter by 1–2 mm—it’ll become much easier to install that way.
Once the cap is securely fastened, the final result looks absolutely fantastic.
