The X-wing starfighter is a fictional space fighter from the Star Wars series, renowned for its distinctive X-shaped folding wings and armed with powerful laser cannons and twin proton torpedoes. The X-wing comes in several variants; among them, the T-65B and T-65C-A2 models served as the mainstay of the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War, participating in the Battle of Yavin and the Battle of Endor. Notably, the first Death Star was destroyed by Luke Skywalker piloting a T-65B X-wing.

This model measures 335 mm in length, 325 mm in width, and 181 mm in height (excluding the stand). It is entirely 3D-printed and requires no hardware components; however, glue will be needed during assembly.

During the design phase, space was reserved for potential lighting features, but suitable-sized light-emitting parts have yet to be found. Several attempts proved unsatisfactory, so there is currently no lighting effect. I will continue searching for appropriate illuminated components.

In the uploaded photos, the earlier batch shows the final painted result after printing, while the later batch displays the unprocessed printed version.

Assembly Instructions:

Throughout the assembly process, if any parts do not fit securely, apply an appropriate amount of glue to the contact surfaces to aid fixation—no further instructions will be provided for this step.

1. Assembling the Fuselage

Assemble the front and rear sections of the fuselage.

Assemble the robot and decorative fan blades. Note that these blades come with built-in shafts, similar to those used later on the engine; ensure you use the correct ones.

Assemble the nose cone.

Assemble the tail section.

2. Assembling the Engine

Assemble the fan, fan shaft, and fan bracket together.

Insert the previously assembled fan unit into the engine.

Install the exhaust nozzle.

Assemble all four engines in sequence.

3. Assembling the Laser Cannons

Insert the cannon barrel into the cannon body, noting the small groove on the barrel that must align with the corresponding protrusion on the cannon body.

Attach the decorative tip and light column to the cannon barrel, ensuring the small groove on the decoration aligns with the corresponding protrusion on the barrel.

Assemble all four cannon barrels in sequence.

4. Assembling the Wings

Mount the engine onto the wing, noting that the engine’s exhaust faces backward, the uneven side of the wing faces forward, and the groove on the engine aligns with the two protrusions on the wing (see red box).

Install the laser cannon, paying attention to its orientation.

Place the cable cover plate, noting that each cable cover corresponds uniquely to one wing and should not be mixed. Find the exact matching piece. This cable cover and the groove on the wing are reserved for future lighting installations but currently serve only as decoration.

Assemble all four wings in sequence.

5. Installing the Wings

Insert all four wings into the fuselage, each having its designated position—do not swap them. Refer to the diagram above when installing each wing.

The aircraft itself is simply placed on the stand without a rigid connection; it is also recommended not to secure it with glue to facilitate handling and play.
