Introduction to the Ultrasonic Radar Mini-Robot Kit
Source of Inspiration
Drawing on the needs of obstacle-avoidance robots and maker‑based sensory teaching aids, this kit integrates an ultrasonic ranging module with a miniature servo gimbal, encased in a cartoon‑style robot shell. The result is an adorable, intuitively functional introductory sensor‑robot model, ideal for student electronics DIY workshops.

Structural Design

(3D model overview) The overall structure consists of two main parts: the lower purple robot base houses a rotary servo and features movable decorative arms on the sides, while its front-facing heart-shaped cutout enhances visual appeal; the upper green bracket mounts dual ultrasonic radar sensors, with the servo enabling horizontal scanning of the radar head. The entire casing is integrally 3D‑printed, allowing easy disassembly and assembly, and includes dedicated space for mounting a circuit board.
Functions and Application Scenarios
The servo drives the radar to rotate back and forth, while the ultrasonic module continuously measures the distance to obstacles ahead, enabling automatic obstacle avoidance and distance sensing. Paired with a microcontroller, it can support programming for functions such as alarm notifications and automated tracking, making it suitable for science and technology projects in primary and secondary schools, introductory robotics education, electronics competition demonstrations, or as a creative desktop sensor display piece.
