Bananas themselves boast smooth curves and full, rounded forms; their skin texture and naturally curved shape inherently exude visual tension. This project seeks to transform the vibrant silhouette of this fruit into a functional object.

We recommend using PLA or PETG materials. PLA is easy to print and produces a smooth surface, making it ideal for highlighting the delicate nuances of banana textures. PETG, on the other hand, offers greater toughness and durability, making it well-suited for applications that require frequent cleaning—such as kitchen fruit bowls. For the wavy, pleated edges, be sure to add tree‑like supports to prevent collapse in overhanging areas. We also suggest printing vertically, allowing the edge folds to extend naturally upward and reducing the amount of post‑processing required.
