Design Concept

This design draws inspiration from vintage spinning whistle toys, reimagining the classic form through modern 3D printing technology while incorporating a vibrant palette of colors.

Applications

Beyond being a toy suitable for all ages, its spinning action produces playful sound effects, enhancing interactivity and entertainment value.

Printing Recommendations

We recommend using multi-color PLA filament to highlight the design’s rich coloration. Print resolution can be set at 0.2 mm to ensure accurate color reproduction and fine detail.

Assembly Instructions

The spinning whistle consists of multiple components and requires simple assembly after printing, following the part shapes. A small amount of glue should be applied to the joint between the whistle and the main body to prevent it from coming loose during rotation. Once assembled, thread a cotton or nylon cord about one meter long through one hole in the whistle base, then pass it back out through the opposite hole, and finally tie the two ends together to secure the knot. To use, place your thumbs on either side of the cord, pull the cord taut, and rotate the whistle in one direction to make the cord spin. After a certain number of rotations, simultaneously tighten both ends of the cord with your hands, and the whistle will begin to spin continuously. By coordinating the tension and release of both hands, the whistle will keep spinning; as it reaches a certain speed, it will emit a buzzing sound. This toy is also effective for training hand–eye coordination.
