The speed-reducing transmission device consists of three core components: a worm, a worm wheel, and a sprocket. It is commonly used in mechanical systems that require a high reduction ratio, compact installation space, or self-locking capability. This device provides a visual demonstration of the spatial meshing relationship between the worm and worm wheel on 90° intersecting axes, thereby resolving abstract geometric challenges and helping students grasp the principle of “axial-to-circumferential” transmission direction change, thus overcoming the limitations of traditional planar teaching aids.
