When printing with PETG, you can fill the model with water or other liquids; the sealing ring uses a 4‑mm thick white silicone gasket (11×19×3 mm). After filling it to capacity, the total weight is approximately 160 g.
I based the design on the 1‑kg dumbbells we have at home—though they originally came as a pair, the second one went missing. So I decided to use this method to recreate a matching set.
Since the interior isn’t completely hollow, if you’re not adding a liquid, you may not be able to empty the model entirely. If you plan to fill it and never remove the contents again, then that’s no big deal.
