Fusion of Two Icons

What happens when the mischievous ghost from Pokémon meets the tyrannical villain from Dragon Ball? You get Frieza X Gengar – a fusion figure that combines the haunting grin and chubby charm of Gengar with the cold, commanding look of Frieza’s first form. This mash-up brings together two fan-favorite franchises in one striking collectible.

The main image is a Blender render, but as always, I’ve included real photos of the printed model so you know exactly what to expect! Also, if you want to make the armor pop even more, feel free to use a gold filament instead of standard yellow — it adds a nice shine and makes the figure look even more powerful!

Gengar

Gengar is known for his sneaky personality, wide grin, and love for causing playful trouble. As one of the most iconic ghost-type Pokémon, he brings a sense of mischief and boldness to this fusion, especially with his signature silhouette and expression.

Frieza (First Form)

Frieza, in his first form, is the embodiment of cold-blooded control and power. His sleek armor, shoulder pads, and signature dome-shaped headgear define his look — and now, they're reimagined with Gengar’s form underneath. This version keeps Frieza’s menacing energy while adding a playful twist.

The Idea Behind the Fusion

I came up with this idea after seeing a similar styled figure online for almost 100€. That’s when I thought: Why not make my own version and share it with the community for free? So I sat down, added my own design twist, and created this fusion figure in my own style. And thus, Frieza X Gengar was born! 😄

Color Notes & AMS Tips

I know the colors on the armor and helmet aren’t an exact match to Frieza’s original palette — but:

  1. I think this version simply looks better visually.
  2. More accurate coloring would’ve meant even more filament swaps or AMS slots, so I stuck to 5 colors total.

For those using only one AMS, here’s a tip: after the yellow/gold part has printed, just swap it for black — that way, you can still enjoy the multicolor version with just one AMS!

And for the more talented artists out there: I’ve also included a single-color profile with more walls so you can print, sand, and paint it yourself! Since sanding is usually needed anyway, I didn't use adaptive layer height  — but if you prefer it, feel free to create and share your own print profiles!

Printing Tips

Supports are a bit heavy on this model, but in all my test prints, they came off cleanly and reliably. If you come up with an even better support setup, you're more than welcome to share your profile with the community!
