There's something ancient about this one like it was pulled from a longhouse wall rather than a print bed. The soft, noble features of a Spaniel emerge from beneath a mask of flowing Celtic knotwork, the kind of ornamentation you'd expect carved into old shields or etched into forgotten jewelry. Loyal eyes catch the light through the pattern, giving the whole piece a quiet, watchful presence.

About the Model & Painting
This piece already looks stunning in raw black but with a dry-brush finish it transforms into a true centerpiece artifact. For this one I built up the color in three passes: a full bronze base coat to set the depth, a brass pass to bring warmth into the knotwork and fur texture, and gold picked out along the raised swirls and lines of the Celtic pattern for that final gleam. Two small gold dots in the eyes finish the look and give it life.
