A designed extruder housing and filament guide replacement for the Elegoo Neptune 3 print head. This model replaces the stock entry section (from the dual-drive gears down to the heatsink) and is specifically optimized for setups upgraded with a Bi-Metal Heatbreak.

It integrates a reliable custom sensor and includes geometric preparation for future upgrades.

  • Bi-Metal Heatbreak Ready: Modified internal geometry to perfectly match and support bi-metal heatbreak conversions.
  • Integrated Filament Sensor: Built-in housing for a smart runout sensor. Requires a 3mm steel ball and an Omron SS-5 microswitch for operation.
  • Future Filament Cutter Slot (Ready for Upgrade): Please note, this version only features the physical slot/preparation for a filament cutter. The cutter mechanism itself is not yet implemented and is meant for future community development or upcoming version updates.
  • Precise Filament Path: Constrained filament path directly from the entry through the dual-drive gears.

Print Settings & Recommendations:

  • Supports: Yes, supports are required (organic/tree supports recommended for easy removal from internal cavities).
  • Material: PETG, ABS, or ASA recommended for temperature resistance near the print head.
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm or finer for precise internal tolerances (especially around the microswitch and 3mm ball pocket).
