I recently found the OpenFilamentSensor project from harpua555 on Discord (https://github.com/harpua555/OpenFilamentSensor) which is an improved version of jrowny's Bigtreetech Filamentsensor project.

So I decided to make it and I needed a modified case for it, because I wanted to use an ESP-Dev board which needs a little bit more space than the solo-esp. So I decided to design a new bigger case, but reused jrownys measurements for the mounting-holes. The lid has a snapfit and some venting holes. The box has openings for the necessary wiring and feels very robust and sturdy when printed in PETG. There are two versions includes in the 3mf: lid with logos/without and box with a wiring sidehole and without. It is also large enough to hide all the cables and connectors in it.

To mount it on the printer, use basically the original elegoo-plate - the only difference is, that I used a longer m3 screw and a nut on the backside of the plate where the original screw was, to fix it. Has the advantage that the sensor doesn't move when it's tightened and if necessary, the angle can be changed by loosening the screw from the outside.

NOTE: If you want to build harpua555's project, you will need to install OpenCentauri (https://docs.opencentauri.cc) on your printer. The wiring is the same as jrowny documented it on his github.

Printed in Geeetech PETG with no supports.
